What is this: Feminism? And why is it such a controversial topic? Austrian director Katharina Mückstein explores this question in her first documentary film.
Right at the beginning, she makes it clear that there is not just one feminism, but a wide variety of topics that are discussed under this term. In conversations with experts from politics, social sciences, and natural sciences, as well as from men's studies, gender studies, and queer studies, she explores the different aspects: Why are women paid less? Why do we still talk about only two genders? And why do we need the women's movement to save the climate? 'Feminism WTF' aims to provoke thought - informative, casual, and cleverly complemented by music and performances.
