Open domains and policies

Content

In addition to EU.org itself, the following subdomains are already reserved and open to registration.

The idea is to avoid creating a flat and unmanageable namespace in EU.org. Registration directly in EU.org is possible, but it is advised that you register in one of the following subdomains instead.

The policies for these domains are the same as the general policy for EU.org.

If the country (or other, like NET.eu.org for example) of your dreams is not in the list below, and you can provide name service and administration for it (this is now a required condition to avoid creating many almost empty country domains that we then have to manage), you can write to [email protected] to request that it is created and delegated to you. Note that, in that case, it must obviously be open to everyone.

Summary
EU.org offers various subdomains for registration to avoid a cluttered namespace. Registration is advised in one of the listed subdomains, each with specific purposes like ASSO.eu.org for associations and EDU.eu.org for educational sites. International domains like INT.eu.org and NET.eu.org for network-related sites are also available. European Union countries have specific subdomains delegated, while other European and non-European countries can be opened upon request. For organizations, there is no ORG.eu.org; ASSO.eu.org or EU.org itself can be used. The article provides a list of already delegated EU.org subdomains for European Union countries and other countries worldwide, with the option to request additional country-specific subdomains by contacting [email protected].
