The Tirreno-Brennero multimodal corridor, also known by the acronym Ti-Bre, is a motorway connection under construction, which will connect the Cisa motorway A15 Parma-La Spezia in the area of Fontevivo (Parma), where there is the interconnection with the Autosole A1 Milano-Napoli, with the Brenner motorway A22 Modena-Brennero in the area of Nogarole Rocca (Verona), for a total of 84.350 km.

The first lot of the new highway, which includes a route of 9.5 km between Fontevivo-Trecasali and Terre Verdiane, has been under construction since September 2016 and the inauguration is yet to be defined.
On July 1, 1974, the Cisa Motorway Company obtained the concession for the construction and operation of the A15 Parma-La Spezia motorway with the related extension to Mantova and Nogarole Rocca.[1]
In December 1999, the Cisa Motorway Company renewed the agreement with ANAS for the construction of the infrastructure, which in 2001 was included by the CIPE in the multimodal corridor Tyrrhenian-Brenner.
The preliminary project and the environmental impact study prepared in 2002 by the Autocamionale della Cisa was approved by ANAS on March 18, 2003. After being approved, with some variations, by the concerned regions Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy, and Veneto, the project obtained in 2004 the favorable opinions of the ministries of the environment and cultural heritage. Subsequently, CIPE acknowledges and approves that, following the requests of the regions, the cost of the work has increased to 1.83 billion euros (from the initial 1.53), while the Autocamionale della Cisa would cover part of the expenses with self-financing.[2]
After the conference of services of 2005-2006, the final project and the unique convention between ANAS and Autocamionale (2007) are drawn up, setting the deadline for the concession to December 31, 2031.
The final design of the completion of the section up to Nogarole Rocca was completed on November 9, 2009, but at the moment the process is still stalled pending the awarding of the contract.
In 2010, the CIPE authorized the construction of the first lot of about 15 km (cost 513 million euros) and acknowledged the increase in the overall costs of the work to 2.7 billion euros, requiring public funding of 900 million euros from the Public Works Guarantee Fund (FGOP).
On April 21, 2011, ANAS approved the final project of the first lot Fontevivo-Trecasali and Terre Verdiane,[3] the contract was awarded on July 11, 2013, to Impresa Pizzarotti & C. for an amount of 254,666,864.08 euros and the start of work initially scheduled for April 2015 and completion, after 2 years, in April 2017. Following delays, work only began on September 26, 2016, while the completion of the first lot was expected in February 2020.
In November 2017, the concessionary company Autocamionale della Cisa was incorporated into the Società Autostrada Ligure Toscana (SALT).
In March 2022, the regional transport assessor of Emilia-Romagna, Adriano Corsini, stated that "considerable investments are needed for the completion of the Tirreno-Brennero motorway, which are not currently planned"; the concessionaire company SALT is also studying an alternative to connect the motorway terminal with the fast road Cispadana, in order to allow access to the toll booth of Pegognaga (MN) on the A22.[4] Also in March 2022, the inauguration of the first section was announced, which includes the service area "Fontevivo" and the toll booth "Terre Verdiane", by October 2022,[5] later postponed by another 12 months.[6] However, as of April 2024, no inauguration of this first lot has yet taken place.[7]
