愛用のPowerMac に SATA を簡単導入
本ボードがあれば、ベージュG3(DT/MT)を含む PowerMac G3 や PowerMac G4 にもSATAを導入できます。
The controller chip uses the SiliconImage Sil3112A. No need to install a dedicated driver, hassle with jumper settings or device ID settings; it can be used immediately after being installed in the PCI slot.
The hard disk is connected with a slim and flexible 7-core cable that is easy to handle. Two SATA cables with a right-angle connector specification, designed for integration into the PowerMac, are included as standard.

Achieving a measured speed of over 58MB/Sec and realizing more than double the speed compared to internal hard disks on the PowerMac G3. The boot speed when using SATA as the boot disk improves by approximately 27%.

SATA 内蔵2ポート搭載
内蔵ポートとしてSATA 7芯コネクタを2ポート装備。 SATAではホストとデバイスを1対1で接続するので、2台接続時も他デバイスの影響によるパフォーマンス低下がありません。また、独立したI/O FIFOバッファを搭載しており、CPUの負荷を軽減した効率のよいデータ転送をおこないます。
ソフトウェアRAID に対応
Compared to IDE, SATA, which has superior reliability, is also optimal for building RAID with multiple hard disks connected. It supports the standard RAID functionality of MacOS X, allowing for easy implementation of striping (RAID 0) and mirroring (RAID 1). In MacOS 9.x/8.x, RAID can be constructed using the attached RAID software SoftRAID 2.2J. Formatting can be done with the OS standard utility, and other storage utilities compatible with IDE hard disks can also be used for backup software, etc.
- Hardware RAID is not supported.

You can use the SATA hard disk connected to REX-PS30X as a startup disk for MacOS.
大容量HDDでも安心の48bit LBA サポート
48bit LBA もサポートしているので、137GB以上理論値2TB(=2000GB)までのハードディスクも使用可能。 今後さらに大容量化がすすむハードディスクでも安心して導入できます。 標準IDEインターフェイスでは最大容量制限(8GB)があるモデルの拡張インターフェイスとしても、重宝の1枚です。
SATA用電源変換ケーブル添付
4ピン電源コネクタからSeagate社製などのSATA HDD対応15ピン電源コネクタに変換する分岐ケーブルを添付。１つの内部電源コネクタから SATAハードディスクを2台接続することができます。
