楊令伝〈6〉徂征の章

The pillar of this volume is Gu San Niang (Liangshan Marsh) and Wen Huan Zhang (Qinglian Temple of Song).

This volume is filled with elements that foreshadow future volumes, such as stories related to the rearrangement of the main characters, the covert struggle between Gu San Niang and Qing Huan Zhang, the unexpected actions of the commander of the Imperial Army, Dong Guan, and the story of Yang Ling regaining his humanity.

In this volume as well, there are many instances where "I can't tell who is talking to whom," and I feel that this is more due to a lack of refinement from Kenzō Kitakata's hurried writing rather than a decline in my reading comprehension.

Summary
The sixth volume of 'Yang Ling's Tale' focuses on the characters He San Niang and Wen Huan Zhang amidst the backdrop of the end of the North-South turmoil. This installment lacks major events, instead featuring character reassignments, the secretive maneuvers of He San Niang and Wen Huan Zhang, and unexpected actions from the military leader Dong Guan. It serves as a setup for future developments, highlighting Yang Ling's gradual return to humanity. The narrative is noted for its complexity, often leaving readers confused about who is speaking, which may be attributed to the author's rushed writing rather than a decline in reader comprehension. The story progresses with the conclusion of the North-South conflict, the death of Fang La, and both Song and Liang Shan Po preparing for an impending confrontation. He San Niang rushes to Dong Gong Mountain upon hearing news of her missing sons, only to fall into Wen Huan Zhang's treacherous schemes. The volume concludes with He San Niang's brother teaching her an escape method, leading to a series of dramatic events, including her confrontation with Wen Huan Zhang and Yang Ling's newfound character development.
