INSIDEN bloody attack at the Ulu Tiram Police Station on Friday morning also caught the attention of the Regent of Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, who stated that it has no connection to football.

Through a post on Instagram Story, the owner of Johor Darul Ta'zim Football Club (JDT) called on all parties to unite against violence, citing a series of criminal incidents and accidents that have occurred in Malaysia recently.

Akhyar (Rashid) was splashed with acid, Faisal (Halim) was poured with acid, Safiq (Rahim)'s car was smashed, Siti Nurul Masyitah (kayak athlete) was hit by a car, last night a man from Bagan Serai Perak was arrested and found a bomb in his house, last night Ulu Tiram Police Station was attacked by masked men, and two police officers were shot.

"All these cases have nothing to do with football, occurring outside the stadium and football areas. But let's all come together in solidarity to stop violence in football," he wrote, including the hashtag #It'sAllTMJ'sFault.

Hashtag #InisemuasalahTMJ is believed to be used as a sarcasm towards certain parties who associate themselves with the current national crisis, especially involving several football players.

At the same time, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim, also expressed his condolences to the families of the police officers who died in the attack on the Ulu Tiram Police Station.

"Al-Fatihah for the two national heroes who sacrificed in this tragedy. May they be placed among the believers and also the martyrs," said His Majesty.

Previously, mStar reported that two police officers died after being attacked by a man in the early hours of Friday morning.

The Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, informed that the 34-year-old suspect who was shot dead was a member of Jemaah Islamiyah (JI)
