300 bottles of cough syrup seized with a bootlegger, Bolero confiscated
Cough Syrup Smuggler: The SDPO organized a press conference to provide information in Simri Bakhtiyarpur. Under the direction of the Superintendent of Police, Saharsa, continuous action is being taken against drug substances and illicit liquor smugglers. In this series, the Bakhtiyarpur police station, based on confidential information, arrested a smuggler near the Panchayat government building Raipura in the police station area with a large quantity of banned cough syrup in a Punjab number Bolero.
SDPO Mukesh Kumar Thakur of Bakhtiyarpur informed during a press conference at Bakhtiyarpur police station that on Thursday evening, during a routine patrol, information was received by the Upper Police Inspector Indal Kumar Gupta that a large quantity of banned cough syrup was being smuggled in a Punjab-registered PB 04P 5466 Bolero four-wheeler at the Panchayat government building in Raipura playground. Upon reaching the Raipura playground with the police force, the Upper Police Inspector saw a young man attempting to flee by driving the Bolero at high speed.
The police team surrounded the fleeing smuggler and upon searching the vehicle, approximately 300 pieces of sealed bottles of 100 ml each were found inside two plastic containers. The arrested smuggler was identified as Sanjeet Kumar, also known as Munna, son of Satyanarayan Mehta, a resident of Ward Number One of Raipura Panchayat. The arrested smuggler has been sent to judicial custody in Saharsa Court after filing a case under the Product Act.
