The aircraft that crashed this morning at Vadul lui Vodă was a Socata TB20 model and was registered in Germany. According to the Civil Aviation Authority, which has already launched an investigation, there was only the pilot of the aircraft on board, who died as a result of the impact.
Today, October 27, 2024, around 09:51, in the area of Vadul lui Vodă, a serious aviation accident occurred, involving an ultra-light aircraft of the type Socata TB20, registered in Germany with the registration number D-EMRT. According to preliminary information, the aircraft was piloted by a single person, who was alone on board at the time of the incident," the institution's statement said.
After the impact with the ground, the aircraft was engulfed in flames. The intervention teams that arrived quickly at the scene managed to extinguish the fire. Unfortunately, a charred body was identified inside the wreckage. At this moment, the identity of the pilot has not been officially confirmed.
The competent authorities have already begun an investigation to determine the exact causes of this tragic accident. The team of aeronautical investigators is analyzing all aspects related to the aircraft involved, the weather conditions, and technical factors.
