Farhan had asked Akash Singh for 50 rupees to buy marijuana. Refusing, Akash had shown a knife to Farhan and Arshad alias Date. Angered by this, Mr. Arshad alias Date and Farhan had conspired to commit murder. Revealing the plot, the police have arrested 5 suspects.
Bihar Crime: The district police have revealed the murder case of Akash Kumar alias Abhishek Kumar near the municipal pump house on Shukla Road in Muzaffarpur city. A special team formed under the leadership of ASP Town Avadhesh Saroj Dikshit and SHO Sharat Kumar has nabbed five criminals involved in the murder. They have been identified as Mo. Arshad alias Date from Sipahpur in Ahijapur police station, Mo. Arshad, Mo. Farman, Mo. Aman from Jeromail Sheikhpura, and Mo. Faiz from three rooms, Ward Number Four in Mithanpura police station.
The police have seized five mobile phones, a silver Swift Dzire car, and a T-shirt worn by the criminals at the time of the murder from the arrested culprits. While revealing the murder case, City SP Avdhesh Saroj Dixit mentioned that the murder of Akash Kumar alias Abhishek Kumar, residing in three rooms of Mithanpura, was committed on the nights of the third and fourth of August. His body was found thrown into a drain near the pump house of the municipality on Shukla Road in the Nagar police station area.
A special team was formed under the leadership of ASP Town Bhanu Pratap Singh to investigate the seriousness of the incident. The team started gathering evidence against the accused in the murder case based on manual, technical input. The deceased was a habitual drinker. The CCTV footage of the incident site and surrounding areas was examined. It was found that until 11:45 pm on the night of August 3, a person wearing a red and black t-shirt, identified as Arshad alias Date and Mo. Farman, was present.
Afterwards, it was found that Mo. Arshad, Mo. Arshad alias Date, Farhan, Mo. Ajhar alias Hafiz came from Ahiyapur in a Swift Desire car to watch the gathering at Teenkathia's Khanqah. Where the deceased Akash Singh demanded 50 rupees from Farhan to drink cannabis. Upon refusal, Akash threatened to stab Farhan with a dagger in the stomach. After this, Farhan called Aman and other accused. Arshad went to Sarai Ganj Tower Chowk in a car to pick up Aman. Then, everyone was heading back to Teenkathia. During this time, Akash was seen at Pakki Sarai Chowk.
Akash already knew Aman. This has been confirmed by Faiz. Akash took everyone to the three rooms in the car. Aman was taken into custody upon recognizing Faiz. It has also come to light during the investigation that half an hour after the dispute, Akash, Arshad, and Mohd. Farhan were seen walking together with their hands on each other's shoulders. It is clear from the video footage that Akash Singh was murdered between midnight and half past midnight.
The culprits beat Aman severely inside the car. Then, they dragged him out of the car on Shukla Road. They attacked him from behind with a bamboo stick and fatally hit him on the head with a brick. The City SP revealed that several cunning culprits have also been sent to jail under the NDPS Act. The police investigation is ongoing in this case. More revelations may come to light in the future.

At the city police station, the police conducted a medical examination of all five arrested suspects from the central hospital. Subsequently, four prisoners were loaded into a police jeep and taken for a press conference. Meanwhile, one prisoner escaped from the hospital. Security personnel were bringing him in an auto. In the meantime, the police jeep arrived, and the prisoner was then seated in it and taken to the police station.
