80 bottles seized with banned cough syrup

Indian soldiers from the Surat camp of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) arrested a smuggler near Vanouli Chowk while seizing 80 bottles of intoxicating cough syrup being smuggled from India to Nepal. According to information received, based on the information provided by Surat SSB camp in-charge Chain Singh, soldiers Sunil Dubey, Anurag Bajpai, Shiv Kumar Ram, and Sachin Kumar, along with the forest area near Vanouli Chowk, set up a checkpoint. During this time, Raghavendra Kumar, son of Ramkishor Thakur, a resident of Pipra Khurd village in the Parihar police station area, was caught with goods in a sack. Upon searching by the SSB soldiers, 44 bottles of intoxicating cough syrup were recovered from the said sack. Based on his disclosure, near a salon, 36 bottles of cough syrup were recovered from his bike. Upon recovery of the intoxicating drugs, the youth was arrested. The seized cough syrup and bike were handed over to the local police station. Acting on the information provided by the station chief Rajkishor Singh, Drug Inspector Arun Kumar conducted an inspection of the seized cough syrup.
