Jagran correspondent, Bhagalpur: Special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team has arrested youth leader Durgesh Kumar, associated with a large group, who went to deliver marijuana hidden in onions to the notorious Baba Gang's commander Gaurav Goswami in a special operation in the southern region.

In the queue for meeting at the special central jail gate, Durgesh Kumar arrived with onions in a polythene bag. The jailer, during the search, asked in suspicion, 'Why have you come to meet your prisoner with just four onions in the polythene bag? Didn't you bring biscuits, lentil snacks, etc.?' To this, Durgesh replied, 'I was asked to bring only onions.' He had puffed rice and lentil snacks inside, but no onions, so he brought onions.

However, when the workers saw less quantity of onions, they suspected and upon cutting the onion, they found hidden ganja inside, weighing 28 grams. A case has been registered against Durgesh under the NDPS Act. An investigation was conducted in front of the sub-divisional officer of Jagdishpur, Ashok Kumar Mandal. During interrogation, it was revealed that Durgesh, a resident of Aliganj in Babarganj police station area, is a cunning prisoner and also resides in Maheshpur Madwa area of Babarganj.

A cookie made from a narcotic tablet seized from Central Jail

In another incident, a contract killer associated with the notorious Pappu Sonar gang was caught with a narcotic tablet made from crushed tablets in the central jail, where he was brought inside along with dry snacks during meetings.

It is being said that a wolf informed the jail administration about it from among the prisoners, after which a jailer was made to consume the 'thekua'. After eating 'thekua', the jailer started feeling dizzy. This 'thekua' was kept in a bag in a corner of the jail ward. Currently, the jail administration has seized the 'thekua'.

During the initial investigation by the prison administration, it was revealed that a cunning inmate associated with the notorious Pappu Sonar gang was brought in for a meeting. It is being said that discussions were held about preparing and administering LPX and Ativan tablets. However, the Central Prison Administration has denied commenting on this matter at the moment.
