The department intercepted a pickup truck at the Dumri check post, loaded with several bee boxes. Upon scanning, it was discovered that cartons of liquor were concealed beneath the boxes. This incident occurred at the Dumri check post in Jamui district. The excise department team was conducting regular inspections when a pickup vehicle carrying bee boxes arrived at the check post. The team grew suspicious of the vehicle and scanned it. The scanner revealed something else beneath the boxes. The team immediately stopped the vehicle and conducted a search. Upon searching, the team seized 65 cartons of foreign liquor hidden beneath the bee boxes. The value of the liquor is estimated to be around six and a half lakh rupees. The police have arrested two smugglers at the scene. The apprehended smugglers were transporting a consignment of liquor from Giridih in Jharkhand to Vaishali in Bihar.
